1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile party game Prove It!, published by PlayPact Games under the package identifier games.playpact.proveit.
Prove It! does not require an account and does not ask for a legal name, postal address, phone number or email address to play.
2. Privacy at a glance
3. Game data stored by Prove It!
The app creates and stores the following information so that games and preferences continue between sessions:
- player-entered names or nicknames and an app-generated player identifier;
- player statistics, including games, wins, points, bids, bluff results, correct-answer totals and streaks;
- current match information, selected categories, players, bids, recognized answer text, answer-review decisions, scores and timers;
- recent game history, including player names, winner, game mode, round count and completion time;
- settings such as language, game duration, packs, sound, haptics and automatic speech-recognition preference;
- the category-selection cycle and locally granted purchase entitlements.
This information is stored through Android app storage. Prove It! does not contain a developer-operated account system or its own cloud-sync service for this game data. However, Android backup is enabled, so Android or Google may include eligible app data in the device backup associated with the user’s settings and account. Active-match answer transcripts are retained in the saved match while that match remains stored; completed history keeps game summaries rather than raw audio.
The app reads the device locale to select Dutch or English when no in-app language has already been saved.
4. Microphone and speech recognition
Speech recognition is optional. If enabled, Prove It! requests Android’s microphone permission and captures speech during a timed challenge to recognize and count spoken answers. You can decline permission, pause listening, or count answers manually and enter the result.
How audio is processed
The current Android implementation uses the device’s Android SpeechRecognizer service through the expo-speech-recognition library. Depending on the device, settings, installed language packs and selected recognition provider, recognition may occur on the device or microphone audio may be streamed to the provider’s servers. On many Android devices the provider is Google. The provider, rather than Prove It!, controls its server-side processing and retention.
Prove It! receives text hypotheses and confidence information from the speech service. It uses those transcripts to match answers, count accepted answers and present uncertain answers for manual review.
Audio storage
The app does not enable the library option that persists microphone recordings and does not intentionally save an audio file. On supported Android versions, the speech library may temporarily pipe audio through app memory/native temporary processing to support continuous recognition, but the app does not request a persistent recording. Recognized text may be saved temporarily as part of the current match as described above.
Android notes that its standard speech recognizer is likely to stream audio to remote servers. See the Android SpeechRecognizer documentation and the privacy policy of the recognition provider configured on your device.
5. Advertising and consent
The free version uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to request interstitial ads after certain rounds. The app asks Google’s User Messaging Platform to gather consent where required and requests non-personalized ads. Users who purchase an ad-free entitlement do not receive new ad requests from the app after that entitlement is active.
According to Google’s SDK disclosure, Google Mobile Ads automatically collects and shares:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate approximate location;
- user product interactions, such as app launches, taps and ad or video views;
- diagnostic information, such as app/SDK performance, launch time, hangs and energy usage;
- device and account identifiers, including the Android advertising ID, app set ID and potentially other device-account-related identifiers.
These data are used by Google for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention and are encrypted in transit according to Google. The app currently declares Android’s advertising-ID permission. You can reset or delete the advertising ID in Android settings and use any consent controls Google presents. See Google Mobile Ads’ Play data disclosure and Google’s Privacy Policy.
6. In-app purchases
Prove It! offers one-time digital purchases through Google Play Billing. Google Play handles payment credentials and the financial transaction; Prove It! does not receive your full card or bank details.
The app receives and processes the purchased product identifier, purchase state, purchase token and related transaction response so it can verify, grant, acknowledge and restore access. Purchase entitlements are also saved locally. If a purchase-verification service is configured for the distributed build, the app sends the package name, product identifier and purchase token to that configured service. Google Play independently processes purchase and account data under Google’s Privacy Policy.
7. Other network requests
Optional answer judging
The code supports an optional remote answer-judging service. When both this feature and a judging endpoint are enabled, an uncertain recognized answer and the category name are sent to the configured endpoint so it can return a validity decision, canonical answer and confidence score. The feature is disabled by default in the current app settings. No raw microphone audio is sent by this app-level judging request.
No separate analytics or crash-reporting service
The audited build does not integrate a separate product-analytics service such as Google Analytics/Firebase Analytics and does not integrate a separate crash-reporting service such as Crashlytics or Sentry. Google Mobile Ads still performs the advertising-related analytics and diagnostics described above.
9. Retention and deletion
Locally stored game data remains until it is replaced by normal gameplay, deleted through an available in-app control, cleared through Android’s app-storage settings, or removed when the app is uninstalled. Recent game history is limited by the app to the latest 100 completed games. Deleting a player removes that player and their saved statistics from the player list, although their name may remain in an existing recent-game summary.
Third parties determine retention for information they process. Purchase records may be retained by Google as required for transactions, security, accounting and legal compliance. Advertising and speech providers apply their respective retention policies and user controls.
Because Prove It! has no user accounts or developer-hosted game database, PlayPact Games cannot identify or remotely delete information held only on a device or independently by a third party. For help with deletion or another privacy request, use the contact details below.
10. Security
Prove It! relies on Android’s app sandbox to protect game data. Google states that data collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit. Transport security for an optional purchase-verification or answer-judging service depends on the endpoint configured in the distributed build. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Device access, backups and operating-system settings may affect the protection of locally stored information.
11. Children’s privacy
Prove It! is a social party game and does not ask players to create accounts or submit contact details. Player names can be nicknames and are stored locally by the app. The app is not used to knowingly solicit personal information from children. Advertising, Google Play and speech-recognition providers may apply age-appropriate controls according to device, account, consent and store settings.
If a child may have provided personal information directly to PlayPact Games, please use the contact details below.
12. Your choices and rights
- Microphone: decline or revoke microphone permission in Android settings and use manual counting.
- Speech language: choose the recognition language in the challenge screen.
- Ads: use Google’s consent prompt where available, manage the advertising ID in Android settings, or purchase an ad-free option.
- Local data: edit or delete player profiles in the app; clear all app storage through Android settings; or uninstall the app.
- Purchases: restore eligible purchases through the shop and manage transactions through Google Play.
Depending on your location, privacy law may provide rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain processing. Contact PlayPact Games regarding data under its control. For data controlled by Google or another speech provider, use that provider’s privacy tools or contact that provider directly.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, its SDKs, legal requirements or data practices change. The effective date at the top will be updated when a revised version is published. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or store listing where appropriate.
